The NFL, or National Football League, is a football league in America that comprises of 32 teams of which the National Football Conference and the American Football Conference each provide 16 teams. Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum
The Los Angeles Rams called the Coliseum home from 1946 through to 1979. It is now considered their temporary home until the stadium near Inglewood, California is finished. The Coliseum is also the permanent home for the USC Trojans. It was commissioned in early 1921 with construction being finished in 1923 at a cost of $954,873. It originally had a capacity of 75,144 fans which made it the biggest stadium in Los Angeles. However, after several renovations over the years, the stadium capacity managed to increase to 105,000 fans before it was reduced to 93,607 fans.
MetLife Stadium
Located in New Jersey, the MetLife stadium can hold up to 82,500 fans. The MetLife stadium is home to the Giants and New York Jets and is the only NFL stadium that is being shared by two clubs in the National Football League. It initially opened its doors on 10 April 2010 where construction cost amounted to $1.6 billion. It’s regarded as the most expensive stadium that has ever been constructed.
FedEx Field Stadium
Located in Landover, Maryland, the FedEx Field stadium is home to NFL’s Washington Redskins. From 2004 through to 2010, it featured the biggest capacity for a stadium at 91,000 fans. However, due to renovations, it was reduced down to 82,000 spectators. The stadium was initially opened on 14 September 1997 and is owned by Daniel Snyder. There has been loads of criticism regarding the stadium as spectators feel that the stadium is not up to standard and it’s quite a challenge to gain access to the stadium when using public transport.
